Paint correction & ceramic coating, done in our shop

Swirl marks, light scratches and dull, hazy paint polished out by machine, then protected, for Rochester Hills & Metro Detroit. Unlike our mobile details, this work happens at our shop in Macomb, MI.

Correction & ceramic packages

Two levels. With or without a coating.

One-step for light swirls and lost gloss, two-step for deeper swirls and scratches. Add a ceramic coating to either and the finish is protected for two years. All four happen at our shop in Macomb, MI; you get the address when we confirm your day. Pick one and the form fills in for you.

How it works

How we correct paint

  1. 1

    Wash & decontaminate

A foam bath and hand wash, then iron remover and a clay bar, so the paint is perfectly clean before a polisher ever touches it.

  2. 2

    Paint check & test spot

We measure the paint, pick the pad and polish for it, and correct one small area first, so you see the result before we do the whole car.

  3. 3

    One step or two

A one-step polish removes light swirls and brings the gloss back. A two-step correction adds a cutting stage first, for deeper swirls and scratches, then the polish.

  4. 4

    Coat

If you picked a ceramic coating, it goes on panel by panel once the correction is done, for two years of gloss and protection, far beyond a wax or sealant.

FAQ

Good questions, straight answers

Something else on your mind? Text us — Austin answers his own phone.

What is paint correction?

Machine polishing that levels the clear coat a hair at a time, so swirl marks, light scratches and haze are removed rather than hidden under wax. The paint underneath is restored, not covered up.

One-step or two-step?

One-step is one polishing stage: it removes light swirls and brings back most of the gloss, and it’s what most daily drivers need. Two-step adds a cutting stage before the polish, for deeper swirls and scratches. We’ll tell you which one your paint needs after the test spot. One-step starts at $399, two-step at $719.

What is a test spot?

A small area we correct first, before the rest of the car. It shows what your paint will look like and which level it needs, so there are no surprises in the result or the price.

Why add a ceramic coating?

A ceramic coating is a hard, bonded layer over the corrected paint. It adds gloss, makes washing easier because dirt and water slide off, and protects the finish for two years, against the 6-month ceramic sealant in our Deluxe packages. It’s the best way to keep a fresh correction looking fresh. Coating packages start at $599.

How long does it take?

A one-step enhancement takes 4–6 hours, or 6–8 hours with a ceramic coating. A two-step correction is 1–2 days, or 2–3 days with a coating. We’ll give you a clear plan when we confirm.

Is paint correction mobile too?

No. Every other detail we do comes to your driveway, but paint correction and ceramic coating happen at our shop in Macomb, MI. Polishing needs steady light and a clean, controlled space, and a fresh ceramic coating has to cure before it sees rain or dust. We’ll send you the address and set up the drop-off and pick-up when we confirm your day.

When is a custom quote needed?

For deep scratches you can catch a fingernail in, heavy oxidation, or clear coat that is peeling. We’ll look at the paint first and quote it honestly, or tell you if correction isn’t the right fix. Call or text (586) 330-9136.
