Car care in Oakland Township
Dust-control chloride on gravel roads
From spring into fall, the Road Commission for Oakland County treats its busier gravel roads with chloride to hold down dust. On Oakland Township’s treated roads, it leaves a salty film on lower panels and wheel wells. We clean the wheels, tires and wells, hand wash the body, then protect the paint with spray wax or Exterior Deluxe’s ceramic sealant.
Spring thaw on gravel roads
When the ground thaws each spring, Oakland Township’s gravel roads go soft and throw mud onto rocker panels, wheels and door jambs. We let the foam bath loosen that mud first, so less grit is dragged across the paint during the hand wash. Door jambs are cleaned in every package, so the mud inside the doors goes too.
Limestone dust from the Paint Creek Trail
The Paint Creek Trail runs 5.3 miles through Oakland Township on crushed limestone, and nature parks like Bear Creek have trails of their own. After a ride or a walk, pale dust and mud come home on shoes and gear. Interior Standard vacuums and steam cleans the carpet; Interior Deluxe adds shampoo and hot water extraction.

How long does a detail take?
It depends on the package and the vehicle’s condition. Exterior Standard runs about 1.5 hours and Exterior Deluxe 2–2.5; Interior Standard takes 2.5–3 hours and Interior Deluxe 3–4. Full-Service Standard is 3.5–4.5 hours, and Full-Service Deluxe — the most thorough — runs 4.5–6. We’ll give you a clear time window when you book.
What if it rains?
If the weather would keep us from doing the job right, we’ll reach out to reschedule at no cost — we’d rather move the appointment than deliver a result we’re not proud of.
